PHARMACEUTICAL FACULTY
The Pharmaceutical Faculty was established in 1998 to train specialists with higher education in the specialty "Pharmacy" and the qualification "Pharmacist". During the period of educational activity, more than 2,500 pharmacists have been trained for the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry of Russia and foreign countries.
Education at the Faculty
The faculty educates citizens of Russia and foreign countries. Training is conducted by highly professional professors and teachers at 16 departments of the university in 62 disciplines, equipped with modern specialized classrooms and laboratories. The innovative practice-oriented approach to learning at the faculty provides students with the opportunity to choose an individual educational track: research or management.
Educational Process
The educational process is implemented in the following areas of training: pharmaceutical, expert-analytical, organizational-managerial, regulatory-permissive, and research. Students study: scientific and technological foundations of development, quality control and industrial production of medicines at factories; manufacturing of medicines in production pharmacies; rules for storage and dispensing of medicines; pharmaceutical information for the population and consulting doctors; organization of drug supply for the population and medical organizations; management and economics of pharmaceutical organizations; business in pharmacy.
Practice-Oriented Training
Student training includes 9 types of professional educational and industrial practices conducted in the university's training pharmacy, retail and wholesale pharmaceutical organizations, drug manufacturing plants, laboratories in the Krasnodar Territory and other regions of Russia.
Learning Outcomes and Graduate Career
Training lasts 5 years and ends with certification and accreditation with the assignment of the qualification "Pharmacist". Graduates can: work as pharmacists and pharmacist-technologists in pharmaceutical and medical organizations, management and control bodies of pharmaceutical activities, drug quality control centers, forensic and research laboratories, drug manufacturing enterprises; continue education in residency: management and economics of pharmacy, pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical technology; master's degree: industrial pharmacy; postgraduate studies: organization of pharmaceutical affairs, drug manufacturing technology. The competencies acquired during the training allow choosing a profession and region of activity in various pharmacist positions.
