General and clinical pathological physiology
The Department of Pathological Physiology was organized in 1920.The organizer and first head of the department was a world-famous scientist, Professor Ivan Grigorievich Savchenko (1920-1932), a student of prominent pathologists V.V.Podvysotsky and I.I.Mechnikov.I.G.Savchenko graduated from the medical faculty of Kyiv University in 1888.An entire era in the development of pathology in Russia is associated with his name.
From 1933 to 1942, the department of pathophysiology was headed by student I.G.Savchenko, Professor Alexander Aleksandrovich Melkikh, who made a great contribution to the development of modern immunology, creatively developing the ideas of his teacher.
In 1945, the Ministry of Health appointed Professor Andrei Nikandrovich Gordienko, a student of I.G., as head of the Department of Pathophysiology.Savchenko.He provides advisory assistance to the institute’s staff and city doctors.7 candidate's dissertations are being completed, 39 scientific works of A.N. have been published.Gordienko publishes a two-volume guide to general and specific pathophysiology.
Professor Isidor Abramovich Oyvin, student of Academician A.A.Bogomolets, headed the department from 1956 to 1963.Under his leadership, 215 scientific papers were published, 6 doctoral and 17 candidate dissertations were defended.
From 1963 to 1973, the department was headed by Professor Sofya Samoilovna Polushkina.Later, in 1998, at the age of 89, Sofya Samoilovna wrote the history of the department from the day of its organization (1920-1974) and donated it to the university fund.
In 1973-1988, the department was headed by Professor Rostislav Borisovich Tsynkalovsky.Student of the prominent pathophysiologist A.N.Gordienko.
Among the bright students of Professor R.B.Tsynkalovsky – Revaz Ismailovich Sepiashvili, who graduated from the medical faculty of KMI in 1977.Now R.I.Sepiashvili is a prominent domestic immunologist, specialist in the field of physiology of the immune system, clinical immunology and immunorehabilitation, head of the Department of Allergology and Immunology of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Georgian Academy of Sciences.
From 1988 to 2023, the department was headed by Professor, Honored Health Worker of the Russian Federation, Honored Scientist of the Republic of Adygea, Honored Scientist of Kuban Azamat Khalidovich Kade.
In 2016, he was awarded the medal “For Outstanding Contribution to the Development of Kuban”, III degree.During this time, the department created an efficient team capable of carrying out the educational process and conducting research work at a high level: associate professors S.A.Zanin, Yu.A.Bogdanova, A.Yu.Turovaya, A.I.Trofimenko;assistants – N.O.Bystrov, E.V.Barysheva, P.P.Polyakov, Art.laboratory assistant – S.N.Logvinova, E.A.Sorokina and laboratory assistant S.M.Lyubartseva.In 2004, the Department of Pathological Physiology was transformed into the Department of General and Clinical Pathological Physiology.Headed by A.Kh.Since 1999, the Kade department has been actively working at the faculty of advanced training and professional retraining of specialists, participating in the training of clinical residents.Under the leadership of the head of the department, 32 candidate's theses and 4 doctoral theses were prepared.The department has published more than 561 printed works in publications at the international, all-Russian and regional levels.10 patents received.In 2003, the department registered scientific discovery No. 232 “The phenomenon of morphofunctional organization of sympathoactivating structures of the ventrolateral region of the medulla oblongata, involved in the regulation of cardiac activity,” registered by the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, the International Academy of Authors of Scientific Discoveries and Inventions, and the International Association of Authors of Scientific Discoveries.Professor A.Kh.Kade, as part of the team of authors, was awarded the title of laureate of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technology for 2004 in connection with his significant theoretical contribution to the study of the mechanisms of the therapeutic effects of TES therapy and the introduction of this effective method of non-drug therapy.Currently, the department teaches: “Patophysiology, clinical pathophysiology” for third-year students of the medical and pediatric faculties;“Patophysiology-pathophysiology of the head and neck” for second-year students of the Faculty of Dentistry;“Pathology” – for 1st year residents of all specialties;“Pathology” for second-year pharmaceutical students;module “Pathological Physiology” within the discipline “Pathology” for II-III year students of medical and preventive faculties;“Immunology-clinical immunology” for second-year students of the Faculty of Dentistry.In addition, “Clinical pathophysiology” is taught to fourth-year students of the medical and pediatric faculties.SSS is actively working at the department.More than 140 works have been published with the participation of students, including in journals recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission.Students regularly take part (in person and in absentia) in conferences: international, all-Russian, regional, and the final student scientific conference of Kuban State Medical University.Student works were awarded at Regional competitions (IQ, U.M.N.I.K., Olympus Kuban) and the All-Russian Exhibition of Scientific and Technical Creativity of Youth (3 winner diplomas), 2 diplomas were received as laureate of the Talented Youth Prize of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
