Professor A.V. was elected head of the Department of Psychiatry.Ilyin, who belonged, like Professor V.Ya.Anfimov, to the Leningrad school of Professor V.M.Bekhterev.In 1942, Krasnodar was occupied by the Nazi invaders.The Medical Institute was evacuated first to Yerevan, and then to Tyumen.From 1942 to 1943During the evacuation, a professor taught a course on psychiatry.T.I.Yudin, author of the famous monograph "History of Psychiatry".
In June 1944, the Council of the Institute elected Professor N.I. to the post of head of the Department of Psychiatry.Bondarev.From 1956 to 1967The duties of the head of the department were performed by Associate Professor I.N.Ternovsky.
From 1975 to 2009The department was headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Klara Ivanovna Gladkova, Honored Scientist and Health Worker of Kuban, Honored Worker of Culture of Russia.She headed a new scientific direction - the epidemiology of mental illness.A great contribution to the organization of the educational process at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychiatric Care to the Population of Kuban was made by associate professors of the Department of Psychiatry: Ph.D.Boriskov V.P., Ph.D.Smolenko L.F., Ph.D.Nabirkin G.A., Ph.D.Parshikova I.V.Department assistants: Ph.D.Elozo E.P., Ph.D.Ostroumova L.I.
