The Department of Radiation Diagnostics No. 2 of the FPC and Teaching Staff was organized in 2022 under the leadership of Elena Igorevna Zyablova, in 2023 it was renamed “Radiation Diagnostics No. 2”.Since 2022, the department has been training residents in the specialty “Radiology”, graduate students, as well as students of advanced training cycles, and students have been studying since September 2025.In 2023, the department created and registered a computer program “Prototype of a convolutional neural network for determining the probability of the presence of intracranial aneurysms.”Since 2024, the department will improve the software package to detect the presence of intracranial aneurysms and determine their sector.More than 10 educational and methodological manuals, as well as guides for doctors, have been published.The key scientific direction of the department is the improvement of radiation diagnostic methods in the assessment of the cardiovascular system.Most of the department’s employees carry out medical work at the State Budgetary Institution “Research Institute-KKB No. 1 named after.prof.S.V.Ochapovsky”, more than 700 CT and MR examinations, more than 600 classical X-ray examinations are performed daily.The department is also based in hospitals of various profiles, such as: a clinical oncology dispensary, a specialized clinical infectious diseases hospital, an anti-tuberculosis dispensary, a children’s infectious diseases hospital.Employees of the department actively speak and participate in conferences, congresses and conventions.Every year the department graduates 20-25 clinical residents.The staff of the department conducts active scientific, educational and medical work.
