The department was created to develop clinical and postgraduate training of specialists in the field of medical rehabilitation, balneology and restorative medicine.The main emphasis is on surgical rehabilitation of patients after complex operations and injuries, including post-traumatic patients and SVO participants.The educational process actively uses the resources of the Salyut sanatorium-resort base (Sochi), which makes it possible to combine academic programs with practical methods of balneology, physiotherapy and exercise therapy.Management and teachers The department is headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Stanislav Nikolaevich Pyatakov, a surgeon with many years of experience in the field of wound infection and coloproctology.The department includes teachers of Kuban State Medical University and practicing specialists of the sanatorium-resort complex “Salut”, who have competencies in the field of physiotherapy, rehabilitation, osteopathy, massage and physical therapy.Educational directions:Additional professional education for doctors: “Rehabilitation after surgical interventions”, “Physiotherapy”, “Exercise therapy and sports medicine”.Training of nursing staff in care, massage, rehabilitation.Thematic series and master classes on modern restoration technologies.Interactive teaching methods: lectures, press conferences, workshops, work at clinical sites.Scientific priorities:Modern methods of surgical rehabilitation.Innovative technologies in surgery and rehabilitation medicine (vacuum therapy, dosed tissue stretching, exoprosthetics, etc.).Sanatorium-resort approaches to the rehabilitation of patients with chronic wounds and vascular pathology.Medical and social aspects of rehabilitation of SVO participants.The clinical base is the Salut sanatorium (Sochi) – a modern multidisciplinary center, including departments of exercise therapy, massage, physiotherapy and a balneological department.On its basis, practical training of students and the implementation of interdisciplinary rehabilitation programs are carried out.
