At the end of the 80s V.M.Bensman was one of the first in Russia to engage in organ-preserving treatment of purulent-necrotic complications of diabetic foot syndrome.Thirty years of experience in treating complications of DFS is summarized in the monograph “Surgery of purulent-necrotic complications of the diabetic foot,” which was published in 2010 in Moscow and, after revision, reissued in 2015 as a guide for doctors.For this monograph and for the results of the practical application of the treatment methods outlined in it, V.M.In 2012, Bensman was awarded a prize from the Administration of the Krasnodar Territory in the field of science, education and culture.V.M.Bensman is the author of 274 scientific works, including four monographs, as well as 18 copyright certificates of the USSR and patents of the Russian Federation.Eight surgical operations he proposed were used in a number of regions of Russia and in 2 neighboring countries.At Russian and foreign congresses, congresses and conferences V.M.Bensman read 121 reports.His speeches, deep in content and vivid in form, are received with interest by the audience and often provoke lively discussion.He is an active member of the All-Russian Association of General Surgeons and the regional surgical society “Wounds and Wound Infections”, as well as the Krasnodar Regional Society of Surgeons, whose work V.M.Bensman revived and was its chairman for 20 years.Under his guidance and consultation, 18 dissertations were defended.An assessment of the long-term medical pedagogical, scientific and social activities of V.M.Bensman received the honorary titles of Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Honored Scientist of the Kuban, Inventor of the USSR and Laureate of the Prize of the Administration of the Krasnodar Territory.He was awarded five government medals as a Veteran of the Great Patriotic War, four medals and two government badges for his work in peacetime.He is an Honorary Member of the regional public organization “Wounds and Wound Infections”, Honorary Chairman of the Krasnodar Regional Surgical Society and Honorary Veteran of Kuban State Medical University.Currently V.M.Bensman works as a professor in the Department of General Surgery.Summarizes his 67 years of experience as a doctor in publications and speeches.At the request of colleagues, he consults and operates in hospitals in cities and regions of the region.He is an active member of the dissertation scientific council, a reviewer and a member of the editorial board of the journal “Kuban Scientific Medical Bulletin”, a member of the certification expert group of the Ministry of Health of the region, and a member of the LKK “Research Institute-Regional Clinical Hospital No. 1 named after.prof.S.V.Ochapovsky”.His interesting and informative lectures and reports are still eagerly attended by doctors and students.
General surgery
In 1923, the Department of Propaedeutic Surgery was organized at the Faculty of Medicine of Kuban University.Within two years, it was merged with the department of faculty surgery and had a common clinical base with it.The organizer of the department and the first director of the clinic was Professor Alexander Nikolaevich Strunnikov.After an internship in Germany, he defended his dissertation in St. Petersburg and was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences.
In 1931, the department merged with the hospital surgical clinic.In January 1934, the Department of General Surgery was reopened.Professor K.S. was elected to the position of director.Keropian.Under his leadership, surgeons were trained for hospitals and anti-tuberculosis institutions in the region.5 doctoral and 10 candidate dissertations were defended, 2 monographs and 136 journal articles were written.
In 1939, Professor Nikolai Aleksandrovich Gurevich was elected to the vacant position of head of the department and director of the general surgery clinic.The Great Patriotic War destroyed all the creative plans of the department's employees.Of the entire staff, only Professor N.A. remained.Gurevich and Associate Professor S.M.Ryadnov.The rest were drafted into the Red Army, or transferred to work in hospitals.After the re-evacuation of the Kuban Medical Institute to Krasnodar in November 1943, the Department of General Surgery was located on the basis of the regional clinical hospital.
In 1952, a young doctor of medical sciences, front-line surgeon I.V. was elected to the position of director.Shmelev, who headed the department for 9 years.
In 1962, associate professor Savva Markiyanovich Ryadnov was elected head of the department of general surgery.He was a student of Professor K.S.Keropiana.From 1962 to 1978, one doctoral dissertation and 5 candidate dissertations were defended at the department, and 58 scientific papers were published.
From 1978 to 1984, the department was headed by Professor Vladimir Ivanovich Onopriev.He created an excellent gastroenterology laboratory and expanded endoscopic diagnostics.
From 1984 to 1998, the professor headed the department, Professor Vladimir Mikhailovich Bensman.As a result of cooperation with the Institute of Surgery named after.A.V.Vishnevsky, under the influence of the teachings of Professor B.M.Kostyuchenka, V.M.Bensman and the staff of the clinic he headed were imbued with ideas and mastered the methods of active surgical tactics in purulent surgery.The availability of trained personnel and the level of medical work allowed V.M.Bensman to take the initiative and create a purulent surgery department in the regional hospital.
At the end of 1998, Yuri Pavlovich Savchenko was elected head of the department, who in 1980 defended his thesis on the topic: “Postcholecystectomy syndrome”, and in 1995 – his doctorate “Causes, diagnosis and methods of correction of pathological conditions after cholecystectomy”.Two years after defending his doctoral dissertation, Yuri Pavlovich received the title of professor.He was: “Honored Health Worker of Kuban”, “Honored Scientist of Kuban”, “Honored Doctor of Russia”, academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, member of the board of the Association of General Surgeons of Russia, chief surgeon of the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs (GUVD) of the Krasnodar Territory.Under the scientific guidance of Professor Yu.P.Savchenko defended 24 candidate dissertations.The department carries out a lot of scientific work.Employees of the department participate in Russian and International congresses and symposiums.Savchenko Yu.P.author of 36 patents for inventions, 53 innovation proposals, published 385 articles in scientific journals, 4 monographs.
Since 2022, the department has been headed by Vadim Vladimirovich Polovinkin.Vadim Vladimirovich Polovinkin graduated from the Odessa State Medical Institute named after N. I.
