Hospital therapy

The Department of Hospital Therapy (formerly the Department of Faculty Therapy) was organized in 1923.The first head of the department was Professor Evgeniy Mikhailovich Zhadkevich, who graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Kyiv University in 1904.The first teachers of the department are E.A.Melik-Gyulnazaryan, A.F.Chudinova, G.K.Antaki, A.I.Petrovs.In 1927, the department of faculty therapy was merged with the department of hospital therapy, and student V.P. was appointed its head.Obraztsova Professor K.M.Rutkevich.Since 1930, the department of faculty therapy was again headed by E.M.Zhadkevich.New experienced doctors are hired for assistant positions – N.D.Sabelnikov, E.G.Kameneva, O.I.Ortsieva, N.A.Tyazhelova, F.A.Levitin.The department organizes a course of physiotherapy with balneology, headed by Associate Professor G.A.Kurashkevich, and a course of pulmonary tuberculosis under the guidance of Professor Aron Lazarovich Samoilovich.With the increase in staff, the role of the department as a training base and methodological center increased.In 1947–1949, the department was headed by Associate Professor A.I.Petrov, who in 1951 will replace Professor A.L.Samoilovich in charge of the course of pulmonary tuberculosis.In 1950, Professor N.M. was elected head of the department.Ivanov.In 1954, the department was temporarily headed by Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor A.A.Goldenstein, and in 1955 Professor S.L. was elected head of the department.Barkagan.Since that time, the work of the department’s employees has focused on the study of blood proteins and hemostasis problems.In 1957, Associate Professor N.D. became the head of the department.Sabelnikov.From 1960 to 1993, with a short break, the department was headed by Professor Tereza Richardovna Petrova, a student of Professor G.F.Lang (in 1987–1991 the department was headed by the rector of the institute, Professor Yu.A. Osipov).With the name of Professor T.R.Petrova, who trained a galaxy of excellent clinicians, teachers and scientists, is responsible for the formation of the Kuban scientific school of therapists and cardiologists, well known both in Russia and abroad.From 1993 to the present, the department is headed by student T.R.Petrova, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Skibitsky Vitaly Vikentievich, Honored Scientist and Honored Health Worker of Kuban.Over the past decades, the department has defended more than 60 dissertations, including 6 doctoral dissertations.Currently, the department is staffed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor V.V.Skibitsky, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor S.G.Kanorsky, associate professors N.I.Oleinik, V.V.Zapevina, T.K.Sheftelovich, E.A.Kudryashov, Yu.G.Zvyagintseva, A.V.Fendrikova, T.B.Zabolotskikh, N.V.Porodenko;assistants L.S.Pashchenko, A.V.Sirotenko, E.L.Shukhardina, N.E.Pykhalova, A.V.Skibitsky, E.S.Garkusha;senior laboratory assistants P.I.Lapshina, M.I.Kuznetsova, L.L.Nikitenko.The Department of Hospital Therapy today is a team of teachers who give their knowledge and skills, practical experience to students, clinical residents, interns and doctors.These are like-minded people who preserve the traditions of the department and, at the same time, have a high potential for innovators.
