Operative surgery and topographic anatomy
The Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy teaches students the basics of anatomy and surgical techniques, focusing on the practical application of knowledge. Lectures, seminars and classes in surgical simulators are held here. The department actively participates in scientific research and publications, forming experienced specialists. Leading teachers conduct research and prepare teaching materials for students. The department also provides an opportunity to participate in a student scientific circle that promotes the development of future doctors. The issue of the organization of the Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy was not solved by chance. The reason for this was, on the one hand, the department of trained personnel, and on the other hand, there were still no students who would have to take this subject. In the academic year 1923-24, Professor Nikolai Fedotovich Melnikov-Razvedenkov, the current rector of the Institute, assumed the nominal head of the Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy. In 1935 Professor Ivan Petrovich Dmitriev was elected to the post of head of the Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy. He independently undertook work on the finger extension of the convulsive left atrioventricular canal, turning the left auricle of the heart with his finger without opening the lumen of the heart. In October 1944, a former supernumerary assistant of the department, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Dr. Vladimir Konstantinovich Krasovitov, who was in the active army at that time, was elected to the post of head of the department. Krasovitov prepared and published in 1947 the monograph "Primary plastic surgery with rejected skin flaps", which was awarded the USSR National Health Committee Prize. In 1954, Krasovitov defended his doctoral thesis on "Gunshot wounds of the hip joint", written on the basis of numerous observations conducted during the Great Patriotic War and extended in the Krasnodar Regional Hospital for disabled veterans of the Great Patriotic War, where he was concurrently the chief surgeon. In 1956, Krasovitov was awarded the title of professor. Two monographs were prepared and published based on the doctoral thesis.: "Resection of the hip joint" (1956) and "Long-term results of fire effects of the hip joint" (1958). For the latter work, the Presidium of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences awarded Professor V.K. Krasovitov the honorary N. N. Burdenko Prize in 1960. In the 1960s, one postgraduate position was awarded, which was won by Dr. Oleg Vasilyevich Dubinkin, a graduate of the Kuban Medical Institute with 5 years of surgical experience. In 1972, O.C. Dubinkin defended his doctoral thesis on the topic "Comparative evaluation of methods of processing pancreatic culture." After retiring in 1973, he became the V.K. Krasovitov professor. The Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy was headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor O.S. Dubinkin. His scientific activity was related to the problem of "Pathology of the digestive system." He became the author of 84 scientific publications, under his leadership 4 candidate's and 1 doctoral dissertation were defended. Erudition and organizational talent of O.C. Dubinkin was called upon to be a member of the Specialized Surgical Council of the Higher Attestation Commission of the USSR and the Russian Federation, a representative of the Specialized Council for the Defense of Candidate's and Doctoral Theses, and deputy chairman of the Academic Council of the Institute. In recognition of his services to science and health, he was awarded the badge "Excellent Healthcare Worker". In 1976, Eduard Harutyunovich Petrosyan was elected an assistant professor by competition. In 1991 He defended his doctoral thesis on "Pathogenetic principles and rationale for the treatment of purulent surgical infection by indirect electrochemical oxidation." After O.S. Dubinkin's death in 1998, the department was headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Eduard Harutyunovich Petrosyan. Eduard Arutyunovich is the author of educational manuals on operative surgery and topographic anatomy. In collaboration with Yu.M. Lopukhin, V.E. Sergienko, and I.A. Frauchi, they have prepared for publication the "Manual of Operative Surgery" and the textbook "Operative surgery and topographic anatomy". Since 2011, the department has been headed by Candidate of Medical Sciences A.A. Sukhinin. The department employs: Professor D.M.no.A. Tereshchenko, Associate Professor, Ph.D. C.C. Malyshko, Associate Professor, Ph.D. A.E. Pogosyan, Associate Professor, Ph.D. E.Y. Tsymbalyuk, assistant Ya.C. Fomina, M.E. Bogrova, G.N. Vanyan, Y.E.
